The costume film premiered at the 68th Venice International Film Festival to a positive reception while Knightley who had almost backed out of the movie due to its explicit scenes earned generally favourable reviews by critics with Andrew O'Hehir of Salon. Knightley appeared nude along with Scarlett Johansson on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine's March 2006 "Hollywood" issue. The film a dark comedy was written by Noah Baumbach and will be directed by Scott Cooper.
